Hi,

Will be completing on a home purchase tomorrow.
The house will be empty for a while due to renovations.

What is the best thing to do in these circumstances?
Stay with the current provider BG on a standard tariff or move to a low standing charge tariff?

Also do you think it is best to get the account setup with the existing provider and then move or can I move provided straight away?

Regards,

You HAVE to set up an account with the existing supplier and it will be on the standard tariff. Make sure you read ALL the meters at completion.

Once you have received acknowledgment of supply ( email/hard copy from BG) then you can set about looking for, and switching to a cheaper supplier.
