Kitchen from Wickes-any similar?

We have seen a style of kitchen we like-the York from Wickes-which is painted cream coloured with a distressed look. What other kitchens could we compare it to when we try to negociate on the price?

i got a wickes kitchen a few months ago and well pleased with the kitchen.. dont forget you can price match all the appliances they offer you . there policy is if you can find it and take a print out or a copy of a advertisement with the cheaper price and its from a high street shop then they will match the price.. i got my prices from boots and sainsburys etc.. saved over £500

Is there sale still on if so i dont think they will budge on the price didnt when i tried to haggle but i did save over £2000 on the normal price of the kitchen..

    have fun

There is a sale on-but by the time we come to negociate to buy it-it probably wont be on any more.

Thanks-after having read all the posts on here we are going to find a fitter to do this for us,and hope to buy the taps, ceramic sink and appliances elsewhere(or else pricematch as already said).I am still in the very early stages of simply finding a kitchen we like the quality of,(we think we have found it) but when we are ready to price we would like to be able to play off several companies to get the price right. I cant work out which other kitchens are the same quality as this so i could compare like with like (or at least seem to to get a decent price eventually.)We may miss this sale, but may or may not catch the new years sale (buying the house at the moment). Also looking for wood-effect worktops that look realistic but are not wood-havent worked out where to get those from yet.

wickes tend to extend there sales after they close lol.. last one was closed then after 2 or so weeks another sale .. i would if you liked there kitchens get someone out to measure up and then chat about it see how much it will cost you and then just wait for the next sale to come along.. if you have waited long enough for a kitchen like we did a few more weeks wont matter

Just to echo the above - we've now had 2 wickes kitchens & have found the quality to be much better than other comparably priced manufacturers.

Ooh I'm jealous! I just lurve that kitchen and was so excited when I saw it that I'd found my dream kitchen so easily - then my husband saw it and said no way! Usually he's not bothered but he was so against this one, even though everyone else said it was really nice and he was being daft but he thought it looked like someone hadn't painted it properly and he said if I got it he'd sneak in during the night and tippex all the "distressed" areas! So no lovely York kitchen for me, but he's consented to the one which is the same but in wood (forget the name - just know it isn't the York, boo hoo sob!)

he he-dont be too jealous- we havent done the figures yet!.I am sticking rigidly to my budget and will have to squeeze out ever last penny-If it turns out its too expensive we may have to get something else.
