Sued for a car accident out of the blue after months

    If you are saying you are being sued, then in what capacity?

    Were you an additional driver on your father's policy or an unofficial driver as far as the hire company knew?

    What does the letter actually say? Is it from a court?

    If not from a court then he's not yet being sued.

    If it is from a court then which one? Jurisdiction could be interesting!

    You mention that you "thought" your father was being sued.which I have mistakenly taken to mean that you should be sued not him
