    i've got current accounts with:

    Santander
    TSB
    Tesco
    HSBC
    M&S
    First Direct
    Nationwide
    Bank of Scotland
    Royal Bank of Scotland
    Halifax

There is nothing to be gained by me being referred to any of these as I've already done them.

I could refer someone else to one of these but I'm hardly likely to find anyone to refer on MSE and I have nobody in family and friends who might be interested. So I'm not putting my name on the referring list, it isn't worth it.

I hope that makes things clear! :)

PS: If one of the new little banks or the Co-Op Bank had a switching offer, I would qualify for that.

I think you're missing the point schiff re: Santander.

You can request 5 codes via this form: https://www.santanderreferafriend.co.uk/referafriend.php

Within a day or two, you'll get emailed the 5 codes.

Go to the Santander referral thread and post to say you've got 5 codes available. They will get snapped up soon. I will happily take 1 or 2 from you. ;)

Each code will entitle the other person to a £50 Amazon voucher, subject to them switching etc. You will also get a £50 Amazon voucher. Therefore, you will get £250 in Amazon vouchers for about 10-15 minutes work. No personal details get exchanged either.

Thank you! I pretty much rely on Martin's weekly e-mail to see what is available but there isn't a word about the Santander ruse in this week's e-mail. Hence my not knowing about it and/or I must have missed any discussion about it on the forum.

So, thank you again and I will take the recommended steps. :A

And you can switch your spare accounts into (your existing) Santander, each also for £50 Amazon if you get a code (for each switch) from someone else.

(edited to add: re it not being in the email, it's old news, and you only have until 18th May to get codes and only until 18th June to make the switches, you're late to the party!)

TY. I've already applied to Santander for the codes and will bear June 18 in mind. As it happens, my plan was to transfer my £3000 in each Tesco account by 21/6 into Santander anyway! The dates of 18/6 and 21/6 coincide beautifully!

Oh, that sounds like a lot of missed opportunities since 2005

Back in 2005 I didn't have the vast sums of money to play with that I have now.
