Hi,
I need to access some work data from home, but my current Belkin router does not allow my to connect with my token. Can I get a router with a VPN passthrough option? I can access t'internet just fine, but not my secure space.
Cheers

Have you tried port forwarding on the Belkin? I know most IT depts. are staffed by jobsworths, but you could try asking one of non-numpties which ports need to be open for the VPN client s/w they use.
Alternatively, you could get your laptops IP address and set this as the 'DMZ' machine. Basically every unsolicited incoming packet from the internet will be sent to that machine.0 -
Or post what make the VPN software is and someone can post up the ports (or google).
NAT Traversal is an issue for (IPsec) VPNs over some routers though. I don't know if the Belkin is one of them. Knowinf the model number would help find out.
You probably should make sure using your own computer doesn't viloate any company access policies.0 -
It's Geolink by AT&T.
It's my company laptop that I'm having the problem with. I can remote access from other places just not at home. I did see on some newer Belkin routers that they have a vpn passthrough option, and I'll buy one if its as simple as that.
Many thanks.0
