Skipton Lifetime ISA

Hi all,

We are hoping to complete on our first home first half of June but have just found out our solicitor hasn’t sent the paperwork to Skipton to withdraw our ISAs. Skipton says the withdrawal will take up to 30 days from receiving the paperwork.

Has anyone withdrawn their LISA to purchase a home - what were your timeliness?

Thanks,
L

Don't have a Skipton LISA personally but my girlfriend and best friend both do, preferring a cash LISA to stocks & shares (mine is with Hargreaves Lansdown and for retirement purposes only). Following thread with interest, hope you you get it sorted.

Sounds though like the problem is with your solicitor, not Skipton. I've gone through the mortgage/re-mortgage process three times now and each time there has been a hold up because someone forgot to send a letter!

Solicitor has sent the declaration today, and hopes to complete within the next 3 weeks. Solicitor hasn’t dealt with an LISA before so was unsure as to what date to put down as the completion as we don’t have one sorted he has put a rough date down and confirmed in the covering letter that we have not yet exchanged
