Npower again

So after being £13 in debit I look at my app on the phone where the clever people at Npower have me over £2200 in debit Phone them up to be told all my payments have disappeared since June 2017. So this is down to them, how long are they allowed to go back ? Wasn't there a 12 month limit that I read about somewhere ? 2 hours ago it was 2100 so its gone up over a 100 in a couple of hours so someones pressing buttons somewhere This is why I will never give my bank details to these companies, I dread to think what sort of lump sum they'd have taken out.:eek:
