Regular credits into student a/c - Will banks be able to tell if student loan or not

Sorry I misposted it in the credit cards forum

Comments

  • Yes they can see where the deposits originate (i.e. a cheque from yourself from another account or a bank transfer from the student loans company)
    BUT
they don't care as long you make some sort of large deposit three times a year or keep the account regulary funded with smaller amounts.

Some people don't take out student loans - they are still allowed to have student accounts. The T&C's on most student accounts stipulate that you deposit either your loan/grant/bursary/parental contribution or whatever you will be living on.
The computer will not flag up if you make some sort of deposit - all it looks for is some sort of large payment three times a year (i think).
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!
