Finding out what credit I had
[Deleted User]

In order to check my PPI i need to know who I've had credit with. I got a free experian account but that doesn't list the companies. I think it's because I viewed it once and it then doesn't show you again.
Some of these online companies claim they can check without this, not sure how. Also I'm not sure they are safe so don't want to give them all my details.
Can I get a full credit report without spending alot of money, also do they go back very far?
Thanks

No company can find out what accounts you had.
You'll only find the information on your three credit reports (for the last 6 years), in your filing or in your own memory.
Your Experian report doesn't change the second time you view it. It's not a one use only tool.0 -
Credit reports only go back six years, that will probably account for the financial institutions you want no longer appearing.
A "full" credit report is what you already have. Your credit history is not any further accessible and companies claiming they can check back further are being economical with the truth.
You'll have to contact the Banks in question directly to see if they have kept any records of you.0
