Cat proofing a garden

Just musing and interested in any thoughts.

I have an indoor cat (FiV+) and a very small courtyard garden. A fence (not cat proof!) on two sides and the house on the other two. I am on a new build estate and can't construct anything permanent in the courtyard nor raise the fence.

My guy is an ex stray and it would be nice if he could sit out in, and poodle round, the garden with the side door open.

Has anyone any ideas for something temporary. I wondered about some sort of netting or a cat run but that would need a high entrance to stop him jumping over the top!
