Replacement Edexcel GCSE Certs nightmare!!

Trying to get copy of GCSE certs for my son who has been offered a scholarship to a USA college.(My son never collected them as was out of the county june 2016 etc etc).
WJEC for which 80% of his GCSE's are withis a doddle. UK based and £35 gets us a cert will all his GCSE stuff.
Not so easy for Edexcel, seems to be an overseas call center and the websites a joke to do anything or get hold of anyone.
Ideally we need their "Certifying Statement of Results (CSoR)" but trying to order it is a joke. Been going around in circles for 2 days. Rang them and they kept asking for a book title?? Go figure.
So has anyone here been able to order a A Certifying Statement of Results (CSoR) or can help me.

This link (https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/Services/certificate-services/terms-and-conditions.html) seems to indicate (under section 4) that if you apply for a replacement GCSE certificate they will, actually, supply you with the Certifying statement of results, not an actual certificate.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

It talks about them but then also then indicates it will send GCSE cert but not original.
For example a GCSE cert is £47 but a "Certifying Statement of Results (CSoR)" is a one off fee.
They emailed me a reply but it's so generic it's no use. Basically points me to their website.0 -
The 'GCSE cert but not original' is a CSoR... as far as I can see, that's your only option.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

All other exam boards are far more clear.0 -
Thanks to all for clarifying the GCSE stuff. Also to the Pearson rep who messaged me here to help.

I used to work for Edexcel/Pearson, they were just as bad with their staff. I used to get memos and requests for things two years after leaving !!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
