I am trying to decide on my next card. A choice between RBS / Natwest or Ulster Bank. The Ulster Bank card does not get mentioned much but seems to be a 9 month 0% deal with no charge. Anyone had any problems with this card?

Ulster Bank is, of course, part of the RBS/NatWest group as u probably realise.

I got accepted for their MasterCard a coupla months ago. The credit limit was on the low side - only £3k compared to the £9k from CancerResearch/Halifax and £10k from Virgin around the same time - although they did increase it to £3600 when I asked at time of doing my BT to mule.

The only slight problem I had was that they were a bit slow to set up the DD for the minimum payment. So I had to go & queue in a bank to pay the first one by cheque!

Also, it doesn't seem to be possible to run it by e-banking - nor even to apply that way -- you have to request an appliform by e-mail via their website then it takes a bunch of weeks before it arrives & then they send you terms & conditions which state "IF" you are accepted etc etc. It's all a bit long-winded but, Hey!, it's 9 months and it's another string to one's stoozing bow!
Expect the worst & hope for the best...

You can pay your Ulster Bank CC bill via online banking. I pay mine this way from my Halifax account using the sort code and account number on the tear off pay slip. Your cc number is your customer reference.
