Failed Verification for Credit Club

I'm hoping someone can help, I logged in this morning to check my credit status as I do reasonably regularly. However, when I tried it says I have failed the verification check at stage 3 and I should check my details. My details are all correct.

My wife also tried on her account and it did the same thing. Are there problems with the website this morning or is there a more serious issue with our credit status I should be worried about?

If someone has any information I'd be grateful.

Thanks

This has been reported on this site before. The solution given was to re-register which may involve initially deleting the existing account. I had to do this a few months ago and it did work for me.

However, all of my historical monthly reports previously available on the archive were deleted.

You may be better off waiting until Monday when the problem may be corrected as it is likely that no one would be around today to correct any possible IT issues.
  • Thanks, i’ll Leave it until tomorrow, hopefully it’s just a glitch!
  • Hi, if anyone can help I'd be grateful, it is still not working, yet all of the information is correct. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I suggest you logon
Go to "Settings" (top right corner)
    Click on "Delete my Account"
    Re-register

The above sorts out most problems (including verification issues)

  • Thanks, have done this for both mine and my wife's accounts, but it still can't verify either of us, says verification is pending as there are further checks required.

Has anyone else had any issues?
  • You just need to wait now or contact the Credit Club team directly: creditclub@moneysavingexpert.com

See if you can register at Experian, its essentially the same info as credit club.

My wife and I have both just logged in to MSE Credit Club. It was much slower than usual on the verification but did get there eventually.

You can sign up for Experian directly and get their full service free of charge for 30 days if you have not done this previously. Make sure that you cancel in time otherwise they will take the £14.99 monthly fee from you.

If this verifies you it will probably help to get you re-verified on the MSE credit club.

Also, if you are worried about your credit status you should sign up for Clearscore and Noddle. These take data from Equifax and Transunion (formerly Callcredit and currently being re-branded as Credit Karma). These are the other two Credit Reporting Agencies (CRas) along with Experian.

The data is usually the same apart from the searches which is usually different as the banks use different CRAs for different purposes.
