Fitting a shower enclosure to existing tray

Do I need to hire someone to do this? New cubicle is the same size as the old one....is it as easy as fitting it to the wall and sealing?
I had plumbers out quoting me ridiculous amounts to replace the tray and cubicle, all I needed was a new cubicle so have ordered online.

It might help if you could clarify what you mean.

If you mean you have ordered a new shower door or door and side panel then yes, provided you've ordered the right size fitting it onto the shower tray is usually quite an easy job. Not only should your purchases have instructions detailing how to fit them but there are any number of guides and YouTube videos that show you how.

But if you mean a plastic (or similar) cubicle of the type often found in caravans for example, or if you need to be altering the shower fitting itself that's an altogether different thing.

So please first make it a little more clear exactly what you're planning on doing and I'm sure that somebody more knowledgeable will offer useful advice.

Sorry for the poor explaination. Yes I have bought a new shower door and side panel in exactly the same size as the existing one...have looked at the tutorials online and it seems pretty simple, wasn't sure if I was being naive!
