Bank Charges

Options
Hello I am new to this, so hope I can find some like-minded souls...
Ive been paying off two credit cards, and two loans. One of the loans is now paid, but going through my bank account, the amount of interest and charges is astronomical. Im 55, and work every hour God sends, but still behind. Is there an ombudsman one can write to, to make a case for getting better treatment from your bank? One of my credit cards is with same bank, with a high interest rate, (the loan also a high interest rate)
If anyone can advise, huge thanks... its tough out there.

The solution would have been to not get in this situation in the first place.
You agreed to the terms and rates when you signed up with the bank

Have a look at the Money Advice Service article linked below. It may help. :)

Could you explain what you mean by 'one loan is now paid, but going through my bank account' and where the fees and charged have come from? Are they just the terms of the loan? Or are you paying unauthorised overdraft fees or something else?

I would suggest that you post on the Debt Free Wannabe board where you may receive a more sympathetic hearing, on here we expect a reasonable level of personal responsibility.

Why do you think your bank is not treating you fairly ? They offered you loans and credit cards which you accepted, it's too late to complain now really. You could call them to tell them you are struggling, they may help you then.
