Move direct debits from First Direct?

I switched to FD in Oct 2017. Four active direct debits, pay in salary etc. Met and still meet criteria. But now I want to switch my RBS account, which has two active DD, to M&S. I only have this account as I did a switch to it a while ago and did it just to get the cash. Criteria for M&S is to have four active DD and pay in certain amount etc. My question is, which may sound naive, can I transfer two of my DD from FD to RBS, making four active DD in RBS, then do the switch to M&S? In other words, having had the FD account for 18 months, I should be ok to reduce the number of active DD on that account?

Yes.
You can’t “transfer” them you would need to tell the provider the new account details.0 -
Sorry, wrong terminology. I know I need to contact each provider. Thanks for your reply, will get on with it!0
