    Find a car the same make/model as yours. Clone the plates. Check online that the original car is taxed, MOTd and insured from time to time. The chance of being pulled over must be very low.


    It very probably does happen a lot more than the figures suggest. Pretty much everybody knows someone who has found out that their 'plates are cloned when a parking ticket arrives. Provided that the clone driver stays within the Law, and doesn't have an accident, the chance of being caught to add to the figures is microscopic.
    I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

    (except air quality and Medical Science ;))

    I am sure that they would rather not but, unfortunately, their funding and resources are squeezed to the point where they just cannot allocate officers to deal with this sort of thing.
