Why not ask the Passport Office or whoever you send the deed poll documents back to. Probably better than asking random strangers on an Internet forum.

Because I never sent them back so I’m asking if the name change will even be in affect

I suggest you call the people who administer the deed poll applications. Surely that is the obvious thing to do.

Someone on here could of course just say ‘Yes that’s fine, use your old passport’, or ‘No, you need to cancel your trip’. Would you wish to take that anonymous advice or something more official and meaningful from the Governmental agency that administers name changes by deed poll?

As others have said, contact the company you paid for the deedpoll but, if you didn't sign the paperwork and return it to the company, everything stalled at that stage.

There isn't any national register of people's names so, if you haven't informed anyone of the name change, your name is still the same.
