Home Emergency Insurance-Smart Cover

I have been with Homeserve for the past 10 years. On the whole have provided a good service, but recent price increase has made me look elsewhere. Only need Plumbing and Drainage cover.

Looking elsewhere the only alternative seems to be Smart Cover-Home Emergency. There seem to be mixed reviews online and it doesn't seem to as big a set up as Homeserve.

Can anyone share there experiences?

You have been with Homeserve for 10 years and paid what? claimed what?

Put your payments into an account and pay local plumber when required.:)

Had approximately 1.5 claims per year. Mainly blocked drains. Had a water pipe leak under drive, Homeserve paid for repair. Probaly paid £600 in premiums and would have cost near £1k in callouts without this

Have saved me money!

No wonder they want to increase premiums. Drains are terrible where I live so need cover.

I'll ask again. Can anyone share thoughts on Smart Cover. Their premium is less than Homeserve
