Car can’t be repaired HELP!

Hi mr.generous, yes I’ve recorded the weather, temperature, how long it has been off, if it’s on a hill. Every sort of condition, nothing correlates. There are no other faults, once started it’s fine, electrics have been checked, dashboard has been removed, engine checked, wires and what not (I’m not a mechanic).0
-
Ask them if they have changed the crank sensor. A faulty one will cause starting issues but wont show up on diagnostics. The fault can be temperature dependent as well which is why it appears intermittently.0

Well then, I will also repeat- for the last time. I have finance on 10% of the car. The other half I saved and paid for. I’m not asking for all the possible reasons I can’t do anything. I’m looking for all of the possible reasons I could do something. Or what I can do. You know, do I have the right and am I able to find out if there has been a fault in the past? I don’t necessarily want a refund. I like my car, I want this car. But I can’t keep up with it not working. I need a car that works. I don’t understand how that is so difficult to understand.0

Those who actually gave me advice instead of being judgemental I have been completely thankful for. If you read what’s said properly, you’d realise the reply was not remotely helpful only criticising my financial choices/situation, which wasn’t the question I actually asked, I only put it in there because it had some relevance...0

Was this done as an unsecured personal loan from your bank etc or finance secured on the car? If it was an unsecured personal loan then you have no protection under Section 75 of the CCA because the money is put in your bank for you to spend as you wish. If it was purchased as HP on the car then you can approach the finance company however AS EVERYONE HAS SAID AND WHICH YOU IGNORE, one of the litmus tests as to whether you have recourse under the Consumer Rights Act is did it occur within 6 months of sale? If not then it is down to you to prove that the fault was there at the point of sale for a successful claim. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. And, no, whether or not you "can afford" just over a tenner, every two months, for courtesy car insurance does not have any relevance to any claim you may or may not have against either the supplying dealer or the dealer who are working on it.0 -
I wouldn’t even waste my time even trying to help OP.
Only wants to hear one thing.0 -
Marlot I don’t actually know the name of what it is. The dealership did it, if that makes sense. I own the car and the interest is 0%, that was the deal the dealership could do in connection to Santander. I’ve been searching for the name of it but I don’t know. I don’t think it’s HP because I already own the car fully, but then the loan was for a car, it is car finance so not a traditional loan. Nothing was put in my bank to be used to pay at the dealership, it was organised there. I got the low interest because of my credit score along with the amount that was financed. I know there is something about it being above £100, which it is. The finance is a set monthly amount over 3 years. Thank you0

In your case I would ............
Check Hyundai forums to see if anyone else has had similar ?
Try to find a good independent Hyundai specialist (again forums for info) and bite the bullet as its odds on that the issue could be simple if you know where to look, main dealers techs are not known for their diagnostic skills (quite the opposite bye & large)
Do not have a clue about any rights as I have never owned a new car.0
