Can I have a Room thermostat - CH combi?

I've got a 8 year old combi boiler and thermostat valves on all the radiators.
I would love to have a room thermostat like I had in my old house so I don't have to keep turning the heating up and down depending on the weather.
Is it possible to get one fitted?

Hi
Yes see installation manual for the connections. You can use wireless or fixed wiring. DIY or GSI (get someone in)

Sorry for being dim but what is the advantage of having a room thermastat linked to a combi boiler with TRV's on the rads??0

Not room thermostat and TRV's in same room. Wireless is great idea as it can be strategically sited. Worth looking into zoning as well and a system that fire the boiler according to demand. Can also get external temp compensators.
Worth getting a CORGI installer in to check out suitability.
Did you know that since the start of this month you can request a free heating check when you have any heating maintainance visit. The Energy suppliers will not be advertising this i bet, and instead fitting it into their maintainance options. Make sure you do not pay extra for it ..... its free ...part of their new obligations.
You will get a full government approved hesting sysytem checklist form. I will post a reference when i find it on my own site.0 -
Found the link on our advice site, and is available from Oct this year, not Nov as i stated.
http://www.cntv.co.uk/Upload/showthread.php?tid=169
covers gas heating and oil heating
also gives the direct checklist to download/view
Hope it helps at least get s the message out0 -

Thanks. I was thinking about the wireless option. A friend mentioned it and I didn't realise it was possible on existing boilers so thought I'd ask on here!
Our boiler is upstairs and I want to have the room thermostat in the lounge. Does that pose any problems?0 -
