Gas bill - baffled

Hello, could someone help me to understand this bill? I left Economy energy in December 2018 before they announced administration and now I finally received the final bill. They kept charging me up to February 2019 which they included in the bill as payments received. So far so good.
But, despite the current provider confirmed the lower reading (31862) and from that they count and charge my consumption, this bill from Economy Energy used much higher reading (32304) to calculate my bill (both readings highlighted yellow). Do I get it right they charged me for what I was later charged by my current supplier as well? That 31944 reading in November was given by me also, it is in my history of given readings. So, the reading at the time of exit (24 December) was likely higher than from what the current supplier has been charging me (the second pic).
(I hope the images work)

In short: there seems to be an overlap between the two bills. The previous supplier charged me up to 32304 consumption but my current one has been charging me from 31944 consumption. Do I get it right? Should I contact one of them? My brain boils.

See if you can contact the administrators of EE and they should be able to correct the bill. However the final meter reading for EE should be around 12 Jan 2019 as thats when it got transferred to OVO.

I left them on the 24th December so they had no right to charge me anything forward into January. But for the holes in the system they kept charging me up to February and then it stopped. Overall they owe me money, I just think that either EE or the current provider owe me more than it shows.

The start reading of the new supplier MUST be the same as the final reading of the previous supplier; in your instance this is currently not the case.

However, your old supplier (EE) has only billed you until 24-Dec-2018 has only billed you up to that date, as evidenced by the number of days charged.

There is something wrong with the meter reading that your new supplier started billing you from on 25-Dec-2018
As can be seen from the EE bill, 31862 is not only lower than the reading you provided on 24-Dec-2018, but even lower than the reading you gave EE on 16-Nov-2018

If you look at the readings according to EE (less the one of 25-Dec-2018), you seem to use about 10 m3 of gas per day on average.

Looking at your new suppliers bill, that also indicates a usage of about 10 m3 per day for the period 22-Jan-2019 - 03-Feb-2019.

However, according to your new supplier, it suggests you used a whopping 25 m3 of gas per day over the period 25-Dec-2018 - 22-Jan-2019.
If they used the reading EE used foor 24-Dec-2018, it would be again around 10 m3 per day

It would seem to me that the start figure used by your new supplier is incorrect. Contact them and ask them to correct the start reading they have used.
As I said, it MUST be the same as the old supplier uses as an end reading, and as it's the responsibility of the new supplier to completely manage the switch, they need to resolve this issue for you.
Also, the EE gas was about 10% less than you are charged by the new supplier, so the more EE charge you (and so the less the new supplier charges), the better off you are.

Yep contact your current supplier as they appear to have used the incorrectly estimated reading of 31862 to start your supply, when they should have used the reading from the day before of 32304 (which the previous supplier has used as your end read).

Thank you all. I have contacted my current supplier. This has just proved to me that it pays off to dig and double check for myself.
