I asked so.energy to switch me from one of their tariffs to another. The acknowledging email from so.energy included a link entitled:

www.so.energy

When I clicked it I was connected to what looked like so.energy's login page - but when it kept taking but refusing my login credentials I smelled a rat and checked the browser's url bar.

A different url entirely (soenergy.freshdesk.com). I checked back into the email and, hovering the cursor over the link, the email client confirmed that this was the intended url.

I've only heard of this sort of thing going on in criminal circles - and have changed my login details on the real so.energy site - I think.

Has this been noted before?

BTW, how many energy providers charge the full exit fees for an internal tariff switch? I feel that I'm out of the avro frying pan into the so fire. :(
