Premier Park Ltd passed to debt collection

Hi all, i have a parking situation that i would really appreciate some insight on. i have appealed to POPLA who have rejected it without taking into account the point I actually made and have now passed it on to a debt collector. I rang the parking office in question where the fine came from but as it dates back to june 2018 she said theres nothing they can do as its gone too far and also their database doesn't store information from that long ago.
June 27th 2018- parked at Shamrock Quay Marina using CAR A. As I was working there I was allowed to park for free and walked to the parking office to register my number plate.
June 28th and June 29th - again working at the same place but swapped cars with my husband, so now using CAR B, went to the office to inform them I had a different car and gave them the new registration number for the next 2 days.
Received a PCN a little while later and when i argued it they advised they had CAR B registered from 27th to the 29th June but no record whatsoever of CAR A. I questioned how this was possible when I didnt use CAR B on the first day and didnt even know i would be using it for the 2nd and 3rd day of me being there until the very last minute so how could they possibly have the registration details for CAR B logged in on a day it wasnt even being driven by me and was nowhere near the car park in question. I ascertained that possibly the system over wrote my first entry using CAR A with CAR B's details. They totally ignored this point and have now been passed to a debt collector called PP Legal/ PP Management Services Ltd. I refuse to pay as not only was i working there and was allowed to park for free but I also did the right thing and had in fact registered both cars with the parking office and they havent taken my argument into consideration at all and fobbed me off by saying its my responsibility that the registration should have been recorded correctly but this isnt a spelling mistake its a full on incorrect entry due to a fault in their system, I called the parking office which i should have done at the start of all of this but stupidly didnt and they cant help. Where do i go from here? Can anyone help!

Also should note i'm happy to gather evidence etc (which probably should have done earlier, doh!) but i'm just not sure how to go about this, i'll fight it to the death when i know i'm not in the wrong!0

email a SAR to the DPO at PP with an attachment of a scan or pic of the V5C as proof of ID and get all your data , docs and pics first (include BOTH registration details because two vehicles seem to be involved - if necessary each keeper sends their own email SAR)
see post #2 of the NEWBIES thread
try and get pics of the car park signs , possibly using google GSV and its go back feature
gather all your evidence and wait for the MCOL to arrive from the CCBC in Northampton , within the 6 years allowed for a court claim
AND STOP PHONING PEOPLE UP0 -
What was the point POPLA ignored?0

waamo - they ignored the point i made about how was it possible that they had a record of CAR B's registration logged for 27th June when I never used CAR B on that date, i was driving CAR A0

Just to be clear as I get confused easily are you saying that they are chasing you for a car that wasn't there in the day?0

PP in their infinite wisdom, are relying on messages relayed by someone in a parking office, a person who probably doesn't work for PP and is not bothered about the detail:June 27th 2018- parked at Shamrock Quay Marina using CAR A. As I was working there I was allowed to park for free and walked to the parking office to register my number plate.
June 28th and June 29th - again working at the same place but swapped cars with my husband, so now using CAR B, went to the office to inform them I had a different car and gave them the new registration number for the next 2 days.
So, the obvious thing is to complain to Shamrock Quay Marina Management to say whoever took your details on each day has made a data processing mistake and you are now being chased for money by scumbag ex-clampers, Premier Park, due to no fault on your part, but the PARKING OFFICE'S data error, which will be subject to a ICO complaint about data processing misuse/negligence, if they don't cancel this PCN immediately.
Ask for a full investigation as to how this data error happened, was the first VRN overwritten, or did the office worker forget to even record the first VRN as exempt on 27th, then when reminded by seeing you on 28th, backdated it wrongly?
Finish by saying this should not be possible and is particularly concerning due to their bad choice of parking firm, a notoriously litigious ex-clamper firm who have been named & shamed in Parliament by MPs on more than one occasion recently and have a terrible online reputation, if they bother to check, and certainly not a contractor that should be inflicted on people like yourself, who is about to be sued.
And if that happens, you will apply to the court to add Shamrock Quay Marina to the case and summons them as a Witness, therefore if they fail to cancel this unfair PCN, you require the name & address for service of the Director or Officer who will appear for them in court and any dates he/she cannot appear in 2019. And in addition you will hold Shamrock Quay Marina liable for your costs and distress, as well as for the initial GDPR breach with your VRN data.
(I think that should worry them enough to cancel it).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
