On my task manager I see:

Antimalware Service Executable – 135.1MB of memory

Is this a usual / normal amount of memory being taken up?

My laptop is running W10 Home.

thanks

At present mine is using only 94.1 MB, and I couldn't care less!
Windows allocates memory to tasks according to a complex algorithm over which we mere mortals have little or no control.

Perhaps in THE world - in MY world I was merely querying if this was normal. As I have been reassured by helpful members that is it I can discard my query.

    Thanks for the reassurance.

My Avast dropped off because of the Firefox issue and Defender is now enabled.
