SO, good to see you, I hope things are going ok.
Dp1, good news abut the baby.
AOD, well done on the jobs.
Gers, you must be pleased that your mum is progressing so well.
We are back from Norwich and I don't think we'll go away in he van again until Steve is over his treatment.
I've finished the baby quilt - just in time, my friend let me know her granddaughter had been born, called Marina which is quite unusual. I have another quilt to make for Crystals sister who is expecting a boy at the end of May. I'm going to do a very simple design for her.0 -
Morning all
Poppy & DP1 good news
OL - think I would have downed tools too.
Holly - nice to hear from you.
Gers - good news about mum.
AOD - well done on the interview.
Dogs have been walked. House vacuumed and soup made yesterday. Some sorting of wardrobe done. Today more sorting, go for a run, hair cut and will clean shower room.
Back to work tomorrow 5 x 12 hour shifts then will travel up north to see family, also dgs1 birthday party. Will be up there for 5 days, if weather is nice will have a trip to Lytham or Rivington. Would love to go to Bolton abbey or downham but will see how much time I have.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care and enjoy your day.0 -
Morning all. It was dry here first thing but is now raining. John went off with his friend to Exeter to video and photograph the trains. After a breakfast at the spoons near Temple Meads of course. Hope the weather is better there.
Just having a coffee before doing some housework. My get up and go fades away on days like this.
DP1 good news. Gers glad Mum is perking up. OL boo to caravan cleaning. Hope you can go away more frequently now the van is out of storage for the summer. SO have another hug from me.
Well have a good day folks.

Afternoon folks. I will try posting again - does anyone know how to access LostPosts-R-Us. I might have nearly filled it by now!
At last I am sitting down after a busy day of being here, there and everywhere. It started at 8.30 when DD picked me up for Aldi, followed by Asda, Sainsbobs and B & M. I finally got home 11.45, boiled the pasta and made the cheese sauce to throw together the Pasta Bake for the girlies tonight. (I had made the Bolognese early this morning!)
Then quickie lunch of soup and sarnie before a quick shower and making myself presentable for my 50 minute (!!!) appointment with the Practice Nurse this afternoon. Firstly my annual BP check and usual 20 questions, then medication review for my other ailments. Finally spirometry checks to compare with last years. The Nitrofurantoin I take once a day to keep the uti's at bay can, apparently, cause lung and kidney damage with prolonged use so they need to be kept an eye on. Passed that one with flying colours, then numerous blood tests followed. I also mentioned the hip, knee and painful leg problem and she has made me an appointment with the physio in 2 weeks to see if they can solve the problem or whether I need further investigation. What fun it is getting old eh!!
It was lovely to read good news in yesterday's thread for a change, and more good news today from AOD on the work front and GERS on the DM front! Most welcome after all the bad news we have been getting recently.
The DGDs are all due after swimming, followed by sleepover as DD is on an early shift tomorrow. Meanwhile I am enjoying just sitting doing nothing and enjoying the peace and quiet! Have a nice evening if you can folks and take care all xxx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
