i have to say i agree i thought it was abit ott and i won't be reading it purely because i think it would make me feel bad for not living with nothing to help others, i also only rea dthe dish one tho maybe it gets better but thats enough to put me off.
For the record those dishes were lovely and i would def have been keeping them, she won't be a family of 7 her whole life and she mentioned a basement now don't get me wrong i'm not suggestion buying dinner sets and saving them for old age, but something pretty you like can be saved for later, after all she will prob end up buying a smaller dish in years to come.DEC GC £463.67/£450

A little bit Christian? As in Sir Chris Hoy was 'a little bit' pleased to win gold, or Michael Phelps is a 'a little bit' ahead of other medal winners?
I got as far as the prayer. And the waffle about other countries not 'even having driers'. Someone tell her we have inside toilets, for Pete's sake, or she'll be flying over to rescue the USA athletic team! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I think the blog is very interesting. I am not remotely religious, but can appreciate the sentiment. i have bouts of decluttering -to the bin, recycling, ebay, charity shops, friends and family etc. but I don't think the radical approach is for me. Doesn't mean the blog is not interesting. Taking an interest in things you may not understand/like/agree with helps keep you young imho.
Thanks for posting

Hi emg
I had a look at this blog off the back of your post. Thank you for highlighting it as I thought it was really good and has really got me thinking.
For me it highlights the simple things that could be done by people to change their lives in simple ways. I looked at some of the other blogs that were mentioned but I found they didn't quite do it for me.
I have been on MSE for quite a while, but decided that I needed a new start in lots of different ways, so I have changed my user name to something more positive and from Monday I am changing the way I do things in my home, so decided to come back to the fly lady challenges. This blog fits in nicely with how I would like to live my life from now on.
So thanks for pointing me in the right direction emg :T#7 20p Savings Club 20130
