Halifax help needed

I have a debt of over 2k that is due to be being over my overdraft and the charges that I have racked up since with Halifax, the bank account hasn't been touched for years now and a debt company have been sold the debt. In an attempt to try and reduce the debt I am wanting to claim the charges back for the overdraft, I don't even have the account number or the card of that I had for the account any more, is anyone able to point me in the right direction of how to start?
