ooooh cathy pacific! thats going the long route via LA!! so long as you don't pawn the tent to have an LA wax or hair do on route!!! the flats i'll be staying in may get a little cramped with loads of DFW's!! (note flats as a different one each night!:rotfl:

Just had a phone call from the MD:eek:

Resisiting the urge to say "hello XXXX shove your job goodbye" and making the decision (somewhat rapidly) to hear him out he's actually put my mind at rest. He has no concerns over my finances whatsoever other than the tightness but isn't going to fire me for that at all, or if i have to increase my overdraft (which ain't gonna happen!!) so the conversation has really put my mind at rest which is great (still hate it but atleast i know the jobs mine for now!:D )

Also i've been noticing something that may have become more prevalent at this time of year. What happens to all the people that are posting "Desperate! help needed!"? Is the enormity of the task one that sends many running for the hills or tells them to poke their head straight back in the sand again? Is there anything we can do to keep these people around more?
We advise them on their SOA which they've had the courage to do and then the threads vanish without a reply from the OP. Just an observation is all.

SY I missed a post from you further along hon, my sincerest apologies.
The mobile thing is with a group called M:panel, there is a link to them on the up your income thread, or pop it in google. If you have a "smart phone" ie internet access etc then you are eligble for the promotion. Give it a go, can't hurt to have a cheque for £30 every 6 Months!

    Big hugs everyone. xxx

Morning P :hello: Giggling here at the er, unexpected pokey tongue :p:rotfl:

That's good news about work being satisfied over the financial side of things (still think they're cheeky b*ggers though )!

Interesting point about all the new people, I wasn't on here this time last year and I'm quite amazed by the number of new posters there's been.. and yep I had noticed that not all of them come back. I guess it's partly people who get some advice then go off and sort it on their own (and don't have the same forum addiction as some of us :D), and partly that New Years Resolution syndrome where you start with good intentions but don't keep up with the dieting/ gym/ sorting money/ whatever it is.. maybe due to trying to do too much at once or as you say being scared by the amount of effort required (and I don't think January is the best month for making effort of any sort, too cold and dark!)?

Urgh, must do some work.... have a good day xx
