Hello again!
Had a successful day yesterday which was fab. :T
I'm under house arrest all weekend as on technical support for work, technical support = staying near landline, staying near landline=not allowed out the house!!! sooo.... I shot really quickly into town yesterday morning to speak to the branch manager at the abbey. I have an overdraft account which is currently standing at £1152 as a result of a masive error on behalf of the abbey, anyway, the OFT are aware of the case and the debt is still in dispute but they've whacked a blo0dy default on my record!!!
research revealed that they had contravened the consumer credit act on a number of occasions so i went armed with the information and spoke to the branch manager who was actually really helpful. he is very hopeful that they can get the default removed again quickly and to come to a mutual decision with me on the error that was made. I am pressing for the account to be closed with no money owing in recognition of the error made but we'll have to see what happens. It may be that i just end up owing them a small amount such as £250 so i'm trying to avoid that where possible!!
Came home and completed an on-line survey and downloaded a free piece of software onto my phone for £15. they use the software to gather data on how long you spend on the internet on your phone etc and pay you a fiver for each month you leave it there. I can't see any difference to my phone at all so thats a fiver for nothing as far as i'm concerned!!:D
Then I won £29.06 on the bingo!!!:D
Not bad for a day suck indoors. I'm stuck in all day today as well but lots of admin still to do, letters to write, bingo to be played!!
Re NZ ISOM, I've spoken to my friend out there and i'm looking at going out in april after the marathon. that will give me chance to make some decisions re here, work etc. I'm also expecting too very poor months salary wise so i need to find out whether the money will allow me to go out there, I only need to feed myself while i'm there but it would be horrible to have opportunities i can't follow up due to lack of funds.
time for breakfast anda cuppa tea me thinks...debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

Might try that one later! Bit confused now about how much I'll be able to withdraw having read the last couple of pages of the thread, but never mind, it's free however much it is!
Fingers crossed for you with the bank - sounds like they've badly messed up so hopefully you won't have to pay anything
Think you've made a good decision re NZ, it'll give you a good chance to think about things. Re work, did you ever hear back from that place you got the surprise interview with?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
just tried IC bingo, didn't win.
Don't think there is going to be a problem withdrawing, it's all seperate companied running off the same site. good luck!!!
Yep the situation with the bank was pretty bad but i'm not to concerned about it. it'll get sorted out one way or the other.
didn't hear back from the suprise interview. they wanted me to go in and see them but i made my excuses, they are a small company and i had concerns about their profitability in the current market. didn't want to leave a stable company and be made redundant in a few months!!
How are things with you now hon?debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
