Hi P. Hope you are returning to your normal colour now.... I was judging a fun dog show yesterday - and standing out in the afternoon sun for hours! Not a good plan - was seriously wobbly yesterday - though recovered quite well after OH made me a very long Pimms.....! Can recommend it as a cure for sun stroke! :D

Didn't quite work it out - did you get to the dog training??

    Hello mizmir!!!!

*Runs indoors to get a pimms* (change that *Runs to shop for lemonade THEN runs indoors to get a pimms*)

How are you? sorry to hear you felt a bit dodgy yesterday, better now i hope... I am even more beetroot after and afternoon of dog walking/working in the garden with laptop and chair... XOH obviously nicked all the suntan lotion before he boogerted off cheek of it!!!

I'm not training this week i'm sitting/training, little man is asleep at my feet as we speak, it is soooo lovely having dogs around me again. Hoping to get down to watford to do some training with mics dog school again sometime over the next few weeks, car and fuel costs allowing. Training day at work cancelled today as i was going to be too late. got to go in tomorrow instead.

How was teh fun dog show? fun i hope? i have read on your diary about your choices re self employed etc and it really is a big leap to make. we will get there i think it just takes a little time, but atleast we know where our goals lie.

Right off to cover my arms up for a bit and take a walk down to the post office with little fella.

Have a good rest of the afternoon.
    P

Fun show was ...fun! Though I hate the fact that you break hearts by not being able to put them all first - especially when most of them are kids! But I did try to make sure everyone got some recognition and there were some goooorgggeeeouusss dogs there! My absolute favourite was a baby whippet - could have kidnapped him for sure!

Agree on the future plans - need to be sensible, doable and realistic. I want to pay off my debts and I want to do stuff I enjoy - but I also want to be confident that my home is secure and we can have the odd day out without worrying for ever about money. I think if I can do a little more on the training and sort out the rest of the day job to be stuff I like (and ring fence it) then it will give the best of all worlds.

Ouch to the sunburn P!!!!...be careful and make sure when it's coooled you use lots of moisturiser as I got really badly burned in Cuba and my skin is still suffering and very dry.Sorry to hear about your boss being a pain again and good luck for the training thing tomorrow.

    Good morning all!!!

time for a quick update before heading up for a shower and then having a "darn it, i have no summer clothes, what to wear to the office today" moment...

Well, have just checked online banking and i have......

£70.31 that has come back in from betfair..
£56 cheque that is clearing tomorrow! woohoo!
£25.53 to come back from paddy power (15.53 profit yay!!!) started off with just a £2 profit but i played a couple of rounds of roulette and red kept coming up so i started with 50p and ended up better off! :T

So a running balance of £200.06 in my bank
and i have now saved £97 in my ISA this month too from MB profits etc.

however.... it is my best friends 30th on friday and i am going to london for a night out with her. I've offered to drive so should be able to reclaim some petrol money at least for it. also stops me feeling obliged to spend out money for drinks so I should be able to budget for £30 plus pressie £20 ( if i can get something nice for that amount) so £50...

Also fathers day, but i shall just get a card and some beers or something. £15 max on that...

Fuel has been the real biggie this month and way way underbudgetted for, didn't expect to be paying for all these trips to northampton etc. I've been told i have to go there every friday for the forseeable so will be more realistic when budgetting next month. but prob looking at another £100 on fuel this month easy... so thats £200-£165!!!! = gulp!!!

Got my expenses cheque coming in next week but... I'm buying a new car!!! and mine is going for scrap. I can't keep pretending that mine is in anything LIKE a roadworthy condition cos it ain't  and at £72 a tank from empty it is causing the ol' pocket to say "enough already!!!" the scrap yard have agreed £220 for mine along with my tax disc back i should end up getting about £270 in total. :T I am buying the car from a family member who has agreed for me to pay it in 4 installments hence where my £500 target per month has come from. The ISA money will go to tax the new car (which is £30 for 6 months CHEAPER than my car and pay for the first insurance installment upfront. Quidco will give me some cashback for that and it will be nearly 10 pm cheaper than i am paying right now.
A tank of fuel is £20 cheaper than my car for the same mileage and i know it has been very well looked after. so should be a good money saving exercise and i won't need to spend out on brake pads and discs and wing mirrors and cambelts and bodywork and rattly bits etc!:T

oh blimey tis 0620 got to leave at 7!! gah!!! i'm off,

g'day folks and stay cool in the hot weather!!!

That sounds like a fab plan!! It will be a huge relief for you to have a car that doesn't run the risk of dying every time you go out - especially if you have to up your milage every month now! Good for you! And instalments too! Excellent :T

Glad that the money is coming in again.....gawd bless free money :j
