I’ve had my aol account for years but for the past year or so, on and off, I get a message saying “sign in failed”. This could happen at anytime and not when i am using my account. Even though I know my password and put it in it invariably comes back with the same message and I can’t get in to read emails or send them. I think it’s now time to change and say goodbye to AOL although I am so used to them!
Our broadband is with BT so possibly change over to an account with them or gmail. My question is; Is there an easy way of changing over or do I let people know I have a new email address after setting one up and then simply delete my account? Thanks for any help.

I'd suggest an email provider that isn't the same as your ISP. If you decide to go with Gmail, this may be helpful:
