Thanks for the heads up, though it has backfired on this occasion!
I got the cheaper model too just now.
Just checked my bank account and no money taken out yet.
What should I do now?
Given the worrying bits I have just read about poor customer service would anyone advise contacting my bank to make sure they don;t pay out?
Cheers0 -
If they haven't supplied the camera as advertised and money has been taken then you have a much stronger case as it could be argued they entered into a contract only a court could decide that.
They can not take any ore money that was stipulated and most either offer the camera as mentioned or a full refund and camera returned at there expense, as it is there fault.
Personnel I never went for this because I have heard so many bad things about them that it just wasn't worth the aggravation0 -
managed to get a returns slip however i dont think i shoupld pay for me to return it0

Why not take this up with Amazon0 -
Got an email from them...
Dear ***** *****,
Thank you for your interest in Pixmania,
It has come to our attention that there has been a labelling problem between
Amazon and Pixmania,
Unfortunately it was a different marketplace seller, who for an unknown reason, changed the label information of the Hitachi - DZ-HS300 DVD/Hard drive camcorder Delivered with remote control, to the incorrect item Hitachi DZBD7HE Blu-Ray Disc Camcorder - 2.7" Widescreen LCD. This is why Pixmania was not informed of this change straight away.
I will be investigating with Amazon to try and ensure that the labels of our products are not changes without our notification, so that Pixmania is sure that the correct items are always sent to our valued customers.
We kindly ask you to refuse delivery on your parcel, if you have not signed for the parcel already. Once your parcel is registered returned in the
Pixmania warehouse, we will be able to issue you a refund.
If you have signed for your parcel, please contact Pixmania again, confirming the serial number of your product and I will complete and send the returns coupon to you by email. I will also then arrange for Parcel Force to come a collect your parcel, once it is registered returned in the Pixmania warehouse, a refund will be issued.
I would like to apologise for the inconvenience and if you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Andrew Jarvis

Just browsing and found this on here so had to register and add my bit, I ordered this and received a different one and am in the middle of sending it back i did think it was cheap at the time but took the chance.
I noticed the Amazon listing for it disappeared but its back again at the same "cheap" price so i guess they haven't worked out the problems yet.
I did get offered free postage on my next purchase up to £9 (wow) from them.0 -
well, same happened to me. They offered to collect the wrong goods and to email me when the wrong goods were received back at their premises and to offer me a refund or to re-send the correct goods/
Email didnt appear just a refund that I had never asked for so it is now in the small claims court for breach of contract.0 -

Same here - wrong item delivered then lots of hassle to try to return it then an email saying they would not supply the item due to an error in refencing on the website so they would not be sending my order but offering me a refund.
How strong is the case here ?- because I may follow suit if i don't get a satisfactory resolution from my fax to the new DSG Group CEO

as far as I am concerned a valid contract was made, look at the emails they sent.
every piece of paperwork mentions the model 'we' ordered. They offered a resend or refund but automatically refunded without my authority.
I am taking this one all the way as I have screengrabs of their advert and copies of all emails for the judge.0
