    Good morning folks.

Gosh, just reading about what everyone is doing has made me come over all faint! Since resigning from most of my work and being 'stuck' in Glasgow I've become so sloth-like. No garden to potter in, no work to do / meetings to complain about, no friends etc etc. I'm sitting wrapped in a towel hoping to drip dry!

Last night I spent ages doing computer work to do with DM's finances and that will need some more considerable work but it's hardly going to get me moving!

Outside the workmen are at full pelt with hammer jacks and diggers, they arrived in dribs and drabs from early doors.

SR - your wee DGS sounds delightful.

Right, think I'm mostly dry so I bid you all goodbye. I hope that everyone has a happy Wednesday.

    Morning everyone

I’m plodding along still. I was planning on going out to the supermarket this morning, but it is absolutely tipping down here and looks sets in for the day, so I may postpone that until tomorrow. There is nothing I can’t manage without.

I did want to go out though, because I haven’t been out since Thursday or Friday, I can’t remember exactly when and haven’t seen another person since then.

Silver-Oldie I do wish I could help you in some way.

Hester it can’t be easy at all cooking for that many on a domestic cooker. I think that you are amazing helping the group in this way.

OL hopefully the weather will be ok and you will get to the beach.

Redruby I think I would come home with a headache with someone that doesn’t stop talking like that all day!

Taff you never seem to stop. I really admire what you are doing, I’m not very good with hand on things and don’t have a creative bone in my body.

Right, I’m going to get another cup of tea and decide whether or not to brave the rain.

    Have a good day everyone.

Quick, happy update from me. Got my scan results yesterday. I had 3 lesions in my lungs, one has disappeared, one has halved in size and the other one is unchanged. No evidence of spread to the liver etc. I will stay on the hormone blockers but will only need appointments every 3 months at the moment. Hoping this will allow me to get a holiday booked.

I read this thread most days and it a super online support for so many of us.

I wasn't going to post today but Poppy, your news has to be celebrated. I hope you are feeling better in yourself since you stopped the chemo.

We did come away in the van and spent yesterday wandering round Norwich but Steve isn't feeling great so we've decided to cut our losses and go home. We might have stayed if the weather had been good but it's pouring down and isn't likely to get much better. Steve's lying down but when he gets up I think we'll leave.

Morning all. After a wet start it has brightenned up considerably and the pavements are drying up. I have a steak and mushroom pie filling in the slow cooker for tonight'a dinner. I am also going to cook a couple of pieces of chicken ready to make a risotto tomorrow as DD and dgs are coming for tea.

The highlight of the day will be the Tosco delivery arriving this afternoon. Although John is currently filling in the forms to start the process of getting his driving licence back so that is quite exciting. We are not clear if anything will happen until he has his 3 month check up on 2nd July. That is 2 weeks late but them's the breaks.

SO sending you hugs. HH cooking for 30 on a domrstic stove! You are braver than me. OL enjoy your break. Holly H hope the rain goes away. Jackie O enjoy Bath. The costume museum is nice and the indoor market is worth a visit. Then there is the Jane Austin museum if you are a fan. Poppy good news !

Well hugs to all and have a good day folks.

There are several things that need doing in the garden which are beyond OH and I now., rang the gardener who does things for us but am getting a recorded message, will try once more and then look for someone else.

Evening folks. Just popped back on to see if I had missed owt during my absence today and delighted to read POPPY'S post. Hopefully your quality of life is much improved since you stopped the chemo. x

Despite it raining all day we had a pleasant few hours rummaging around in the cs of Ilkley. I picked up a pretty summer top and also a bottle decorated with mock leading with string lights inside. It looks lovely twinkling away in the kitchen window. I am regretting not buying more of them!

Of course lunch was involved and most enjoyable it was. Accompanied by a bottle of wine which went down nicely as we put the world to rights afterwards.

Hope everyone manages a pleasant evening xx
