Renting over 60 and bad credit I have some questions

I've basically came on here on my parents behalf to ask some questions that I don't really understand.

My parents had a interest only mortgage and that ended couple of years ago which gave them no option but to sell the house whilst the house was up for sale they have carried on living there for 2 years paying interest on mortgage even tho it had ended, the council have recently brought the house off us making around 40k profit from when we brought it 15 years ago, now my parents have to move into renting with me aswell as a family our income is way over £3000 a month but I don't have any credit and my parents credit is bad aswell but never had anything serious like ccj or bankruptcy and never missed a mortgage payment.

Estate agent say we fail credit checks, what I want to know is we have all the money made from the house and can afford to pay the whole term 6 or 12 months rent upfront and the deposit and any fees I don't understand why that's not acceptable we are really struggling to find anywhere because council won't help because we earn to much as a family and estate egents won't rent to us, any help will be much appreciated

If you earn enough to rent you need to find out why your parents keep failing the credit checks.

You need to try to find some rented accommodation that is being let by the landlords not agents

Household income of £3k/mo, sure - but how much are you looking to be spending in rent?

Landlords aren't just thinking of "Will I get the rent for the first 6/12mo", but "is this rent sustainably payable for the whole time they'll be living there?"

No landlord wants 6/12mo rent, then a couple of months of excuses for no rent, then a protracted and expensive legal process to regain possession...

On top of that, "Oh, but we'll pay 12mo rent up front" is reputedly a favourite of people planning to use the property for illegal purposes - either negotiable affections or recreational horticulture.

Are you all on the electoral register.
Have you obtained credit reports to see what’s on there?

Can your parents not apply to go on their local council's over 60's housing list as the wait tends to be far less than the general waiting list? This way they would get a flat at a low rent, which would hopefully leave you able to find a place for just you & your family on your healthy income, especially if it is your parents affecting your credit ability.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
