I bought fresh beetroot from Lidl 4 in a pack cooked and peeled so I just sliced them and put them in a bowl. So what would I put over them I am guessing vinegar if that's right what else would you suggest, so they will keep in the fridge for a while, I live alone so I assume some kind of pickling! Please advise. ThanksLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Shame to pickle fresh beets.
Finely chopped one and an orange and mix with grated carrot - use as a salad dish.
Warm a couple and have with a hot meal as a vegetable.0 -
As above, just use a a veg cooked veg, not a pickled oneEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

They'll freeze fine too, then you can use them as you like.. yum, beetroot soup (borscht). Or roast beetroot. Or use in cake. mmmm0

I keep beetroot from a vacuum pack in a sterile jam jar in the fridge if I have some left over. I like them in a cheese sandwich but they are also really nice diced, heated up in a little butter and given a good grind of sea salt and black pepper as a hot veg, particularly good with pork products and meatloaf.0

I always freeze them as we can't use them quick enough. Slice and open freeze, then pop into a bag. Then just defrost as much as you want.0

I stood and ate half a pack with a fork and put the rest in a wrap0 -

For me, it has to be corned beef & beetroot sandwiches.0
