Ooh you're back, welcome back, I've been looking out for you.
Sorry about the ups and downs and so sorry about your lovely dog - you cared for him so very well and he really did have the best life. And a new puppy will get all that care and attention now and will be the best thing for you.
Exciting about the new job opportunity, what a great area for you to go into - so under-resourced but so necessary.
Lovely to have you back posting and sounding so determined - I missed your doings.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Thank you triple - you've made me blush! Well done on the running - I'm never really that bothered about the time, for me it's just about keeping going. Having said that I can now run 10km and my 5km time is the best it's ever been (depending on the day and strangely time of day too!).
Joey - pup is coming home this Friday !!!! Can't wait.....
Anyway, sorry I've been away for a few days - this week can only be described as mental!
I have resolved things with OH and he's back on best behaviour.
I finished the job application and visited the school that the job is initially based in on Tuesday after school and had a great long talk with the head that I think went well. Then saw OH after work on Wednesday, went to see the puppies on Thursday evening and finally felt like I'd been run over by a bus on Friday.... It's exam season and part of my job as SLT is to start and finish every exam, get the kids in, organise the exams officer and invigilators - all that in addition to my normal job, extra exam boosters before and after school, meetings etc it's been bloody hard work!
I've sent my application in and told my current head who was remarkably understanding and supportive (he's retiring at the end of the school year) and will find out probably on Monday if I have an interview or not. Fingers crossed but I'm not holding my breath.
Had a busy day today - did a short run first thing to see if my back is better (been niggling all week) - I'm running the Manchester 10k tomorrow. Back felt ok but my knee is a bit sore, think I've compensated for having a bad back and it's put strain on it. Never mind, going to do it anyway as its sponsored for a children's hospital.
Then, went to tesco for a food shop, mowed the front lawn, did some housework and dyed my hair. Two loads of washing done too.
Had to go in to Manchester on the tram this afternoon to pick up my running number and timer thingy for my trainers as the queues will be bonkers tomorrow. Took ages but it's done now.
Going over to OHs for tea and might stay - will see how I feel when I'm there, need a good nights sleep before tomorrow.
The puppies are now almost 8 weeks old and have real personalities developing - mine is absolutely lovely. He's such a little cutie - playful but still loves a cuddle and has such a gorgeous little face. Desperate for him to come home now. 6 days and counting.......
I've also done the banking as it was payday on Wednesday - haven't had a chance to get organised this week but all bills are now paid, money transferred to savings accounts etc and budgets sorted.
Going to have a little sit down for half an hour then go over to OHs.
A quiet evening is needed after a really busy day......0 -
Good luck tomorrow in the Manchester 10k, I will be watching somewhere , my friend is running in it. Exam time is very stressful I agree, I have two teaching friends who have both been on wine last night. Roll on Friday for your puppy coming home , and glad to hear you have made it up with OH.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0

Thank you Sunshine and Honeysuckle - it's quite overcast and damp this morning here and will hopefully stay that way. Don't want it to be too warm, it's hard enough as it is without blazing sunshine!
Stayed at OHs last night, watched Eurovision - not really my thing but had to stay up until the end to see who won. Thought Madonna was rubbish too - lots of the acts were much better than her but she doesn't look 60! Wonder how much work she's had done? And what's with the eye patch? Strange.....
So today will revolve around doing the run - will have a nice soak in the bath and potter around this morning, OH is picking me up at 11.15 then we're meeting some others to go into town together to meet up with the rest of our charity running team. Think we're starting at 2pm.
We'll probably end up going for a drink after it but I think I won't stay long -want to have bit of a rest before the madness of work starts again tomorrow.
One good thing though - can eat loads today to keep me going0 -
I’ve been out first thing and run 3k but I can’t imagine running 10k. But then again I’m almost as old as Madonna, lol
Good luck for your run and it’s great you’ve got loads of supporters there for you. Enjoy the  when you finish!0 -
Thank you Triple choc!!
Did it in 70ish mins - really enjoyed it, a really good day, would definitely do it again. Shattered now though.
Got a calf muscle pull at 3km but kept going and ran through it - will hurt tomorrow though......
We all went for a quick drink afterwards, then OH and I went back to his house for a pizza and then I came home for a soak in the bath.
Really glad it's the last week of term - don't think I could do much more than that .....
Roll on Friday and a rest with a new puppy (sort of - I'm sure it will be hard work until he settles).
Looking forward to bed!0 -

Amazing.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Morning Honeysuckle and Buffy - thank you!
I'm very stiff this morning - need new legs and feet! You forget that it's not just the 10 k run, it's all the walking to and from, standing around and warm up etc. it ends up being almost double when you add it all up! Am shuffling around like Mrs Overall this morning0
