Dro with preferential payments
I am currently going through a DRO and my adviser has put down that I have a preferential payment which is to my mother. (Weekly payments to her as she had to purchase a fridge for us as our old one broke so it was essential) Advisor said that this can be refused which I am now worried that it will get refused. Also will anyone contact my mother in regards to the DRO

If she is listed as a creditor she will be written to if the DRO is granted.
Yes, it could be declined as that will not be an allowable expense. If that means your surplus income then rises above +50 you do not meet the criteria. If you are still below +50 you would probably be OK.
Has this already been submitted? If not can you just stop paying her and delay the application for a bit?0
