Hi could anyone please suggest a reclaiming company for me and my wife as we are unsure how we go about it.We asked for bank statements and the halifax shut our overdrafts immediately.Any help gratefully recieved.

Sorry to hear about your Banks misconduct. I cannot honestly recommend any company out there to reclaim for you, I have only heard of one and they ripped the customer off.
It is not hard to reclaim and Martin gives you step by step instructions, you have to hold your mettle and there are lots of people on these forums to support you. Please reconsider doing it yourselves, it is pretty straightforward. At the moment however, most claims when they get to the court stage are being stayed, which means they are being paused until the result of the test case.
Even if you do choose not to reclaim, I would advise you to write to the Financial Ombudsman anyway, because your bank are not allowed to penalise people for asking for their statements or even for reclaiming successfully.
