Dreadful service from Thompson & Morgan

I've ordered from T&M in previous years and been delighted with their plants and service, but this year they apparently have a new computer system...need I say more! Orders are taking months to show up (if at all) - well past the promised dispatch dates - and the plants are in shocking condition. As an experienced gardener I'm used to resuscitating some pretty sickly little plants, but many of these are completely dead on arrival.

It is now very late in the year to be buying trays of those little 'plug' plants and the obvious alternatives such as Jersey Plants (excellent) and Suttons stopped taking orders for these at the end of April. If anyone has any suggestions for other suppliers that would be appreciated, please.

I preordered in January.

The first part of my order arrived as expected but then my order disappeared from the system.

I queried this and received a holding reply.

After a couple of weeks I checked again and still no order found.

I checked with my email address instead of the order number and found my order with a different tracking order- presumably because of the problems with the new computer ;losing' orders -showing despatch due 7 May..

I received an email yesterday stating my order for geraniums will be despatched with the next 7 days.

As we are currently experiencing minus temperatures at night and my small greenhouse is full of tender plants that cannot be planted out yet I am happy for the short delay.

Just received an email stating my order was despatched today- on the day it was due to be despatched.

Have you tried looking on ebay? There may not be a great selection as main orders have probably been sent already but you might find something that meets your requirements

30 garden ready geraniums received tonight as per order. Despatched yesterday. Received tonight in the far north of Scotland . Can't complain at that.

Good size and healthy looking plants ready to plant out but will pot up until the end of the month when frost should be finished.
