Looking for some extra income selling on ebay

  • £1000 won't get you far but a new seller might not get far either, I know you can do blogs, videos, Facebook, etc but getting such things in front of people usually requires spending on advertising and I just can't see there's much mark up on generic stuff that anyone has access to in order to justify it.

I may be wrong, I just don't believe it's that easy these days.

If you can use spreadsheets, set one up and put in your purchase price and selling price, then take off all your costs, packing materials, postage, eBay fees and Paypal fees.

I buy some items direct from wholesalers and when I have checked the prices on eBay, some sellers are actually selling at a loss

Don't forget to also account for your time (at minimum wage, at least) involved in researching, buying, photographing, listing, packaging, bringing to the Post Office, etc.

And also account for a percentage of sales where you have to refund - as a business seller, you'll have to provide change-of-mind returns as well as INR and SNAD.
