Afternoon folks.
I'm just back from the lunchtime visiting - DM was very tired today and only ate a small bit of the food I prepared. Seems that the woman in the next bed kept everyone awake last night, again. The good news is that DM may be allowed home later this week or early next. Tomorrow she wants fish and chips at tea-time!
Early this morning a bunch of workmen rocked up and set about installing a four-way traffic control and restricted parking in DM's street and the other three which intersection. No advance warning and no idea which company it was - I rang the council for a mini (and polite) rant. Some sort of information and advance warning would have been sensible.
SO - I m so sorry your doing all the stuff on your own. If I lived anywhere near you I'd be able to help.
Thoughts and hugs to all those having a difficult time.

I popped into town early this morning,wanted to pick up some books from the CS as have exhausted my supply of 'real' ones but still have plenty on my kindle.
I also bought a bird feeder for the back. I was just about to hang it up when I heard voices , 2 men from the council coming to look at the birds nests,and also mark out with spray paint where this blooming path is going to go.Showed them the nests and they've said they'll leave it until August so at least we get most of the summer uninterrupted.Also they're making it slightly smaller so we retain an extra .2m ( about 8" in old money)- every little helps
. However Mr. Grumpy next door had visions of a nice tidy tarmac path,oh no,it'll be just left with whatever surface is down now,mainly flags and just individual 1.8 sections of fences taken down,then its up to us if we want to fence along the new border. So silly!The good news is the gate at the end of the row can stay so that should prevent random people walking along.
Right I really should go and do some ironing so I'll wish you good afternoon. I've dug out a cottage pie from the freezer for tea so should have plenty time to get it all done and put away if I stop procrastinating
