Why do eBay keep allowing seller to list counterfeit items?

My own experience - I bought a software item (£00s and not too cheap to seem dodgy) but it was clear after installation it wasn't right. I contacted Microsoft, who told me to report it to my local TS. I did.

7 or 8 months later I was contacted as TS had sufficient to prosecute. The seller was found guilty of nearly a £1million in software fraud. He only got a suspended sentence, but the point is, they do listen, and you don't know who else is talking to them until you do.

Trading Standards are quite methodical in their approach. They also have a lot of power to prosecute so always worth reporting to them, even though they're harder to find these days.
