Thinking of buying this from Halfords
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_262275_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_79870_crumb_31265-31371_parentcategoryrn_79870
Its a bluetooth in car CD player not got a CD player or any bluetooth and its on offer with free fitting so it looks a good offer to me.
Whats it like making and receiving mobile calls on this kind of system? or any other comments welcome.

Fitting isn't difficult so don't be swayed with that offer.
The unit is a standard single DIN if your car has a double DIN unit installed you will need to buy a facia to make it fit in your dash. also depending on the car you will probably need a wiring harness that converts the cars cable that can vary to the standard ISO connectors that will be on the Sony unit. some cars also use a non standard aerial connector.
So don't just think it will cost you £99.99 halfords only stock black facia adaptors and look bad if your car has anything other than a black dash. the painted ones are a few £'s more than the black ones that cost about £20. wiring harness can cost another £20 the aeriel adaptor is another £4-£5. I managed to get a perfect matched facia, harness and aerial adaptor from the car manufacturer for £32 so don't just go buying from halfords check arround for the other bits.0 -
I've got a Sony BTC2500. It's a cracking bit of kit. When a call comes in, I just press the volume button and it answers. Call quality is good both in and out.
It doesn't download your address book as some do but to make an outbound call is simple - just select the number on your phone and as long as you're in the BT Phone "Source", you press the dial on the phone or the volume on the stereo and it rings.
Got mine from Ebay new for £79.99 delivered.0
