Are you saying you have a returned DDM in January?

No, DD cleared but wage went in just after meaning I was £7.00 over my £400 pound overdraft limit for one day.

We are awaiting a decision on a DIP from a lender called bluestone mortgages tomorrow.

To be honest we only got this far due to being assured by our broker we would have no problems and giving us a DIP within hours, I was only intending on making enquiry's originally, we had no intention of buying a house up until recently otherwise these simple issues could have been addressed prior. We have plenty of disposable income, a loan due to be finished and a car for sale that will free up about 5K, knowing what I do now I'd have sold the car, cleared both loans and been careful with spending to make myself look more appealing to lenders prior to applying.

You have not answered my question, we just need someone to be real with us, are we better off pulling out, clearing loans and waiting 6 month or so then trying again? Or do you believe we should be able to secure a mortgage in these circumstances?

Update - We gave up on original brokers and handed our details to Simply Adverse.

It's not everyday I feel the need to go out of my way to promote a company but I just had to come back here to talk about my experience.

Simply have been nothing short of amazing, took all information and documentation up front, got a DIP within a few hours and now two weeks to date from contacting them we have just received a mortgage offer with a mainstream lender on a low interest rate. Despite the high fee's with simply we have saved thousands due to a much better mortgage offer. We are subsequently putting a complaint in regarding original broker as they put us onto a sub prime lender immediately which would have cost us thousands of pounds in interest unnecessarily.

I originally came here for reassurance but unfortunately I didn't find any, I write this for anyone with adverse credit struggling to find a mortgage, it can be done, I'm proof of that.
