The Nat West Switch

Options
I would like to do the Nat West Switch I want to do the Select Account one as there is no DD's needed and no mthly fee.
The only account I have to move over is a TSB current account in my name, we have a joint TSB account with DD's etc so will leave that as is.
My question is when the switch is complete will I be able to open another TSB current account I want to do this because the TSB give mthly interest on up to £1,500 which is not a bad little earner.

Thank you

Well, yes in theory, but as ever any bank is free to refuse or accept a current account application based on their internal rules and requirements.

Just as an example, Monzo won't let you open a new account until 12 months have elapsed since the switch.

TSB may or may not let you open a replacement account so soon after switching. Nothing to stop you trying of course.

Open up another account with another bank, then switch that

Open a second TSB account BEFORE you switch then you will have one left.

Think youre only allowed the one interest bearing one. Do they do other basic ones?

yes a non interest bearing one. logon to internet banking and open one. Then either switch that one you will have to wait for the debit card as you need the debit card number or switch your existing one and then upgrade that one to an interest-bearing one a bit later on
