Outlook and Hotmail E Mails blocked when out of UK

Everytime we go on holiday outside the UK our Outlook and Hotmail E Mails are blocked which to say the least is very inconvenient Is there anyway we can stop this happening.

I don't use hot mail but you may be running into "Familiar Location Protection" issues. Both of those used to stop you accessing from abraod unless you designate a device as trusted. (Security & Privacy->Advanced->protect account in hotmail)


Using a proxy or vpn should work. Like say opera and set the vpn to uk.

I think there's a setting somewhere to make your laptop a "trusted device". Once this has been set it should work no matter where you are.

I had the same issue in Dubai and India but when I clicked on the link and answered the questions I was able to get the email on my Hotmail account

We cannot send or receive hotmail E mails when abroad. We have tried all th suggested options. So we have set up a gmail E Mail address to use for is specific purpose.No problem sending or receiving gmail when out of the UK
