Really angry with Kwik-Fit

I took my car to Kwik Fit for a standard service. It was working fine before I left it.
They called me later to say there was a problem I couldnt drive it and they were getting their expert to have a look at it.
Unbeknown to me this meant they were getting another local garage to have a look. When I got it back it was misfiring and the fuel consumption has now changed - its less efficient. Plus there are an additional 65 miles on the clock which cant be reasonably accounted for.
I complained and was told to take it back to the local garage by Kwik Fit but they (Kwik Fit) would sort everything. The other garage then sent it to a 3rd garage - a 'Diesel expert'. The 2nd garage are now saying all 4 injectors need replacing and Kwik Fit wont cover this as they cant guarantee that it will sort the problem. They suggest I take it to a Volvo garage for a diagnostic and then bring it back to have the work done there - which I will have to pay for.
When I asked whats the connection between a service and the injectors they said the wrong type of oil might have been used. Apparently when they collected it from Kwik Fit it was undriveable , sounded like a tractor and had no power. This is all going to cost me a lot of money - Im unlikely to see much change from £2k. I can't afford that. Anyone got any advice please?

Also ask in the motoring forum where as well as some kwik-fit hate you will find some good technical advice.

Never, ever take your car to Kwik Fitt OR HALFORDS. Never.

I have to confess that I once took a nearly new car to Halfords for an oil and filter change as they had an offer on. I made bloody sure they used the correct oil, they tried to tell me it didn't matter, wasn't in the offer etc. But they did it. Everything appeared fine.

About a month later washing the car I opened the bonnet and wiped off a few splashes and noticed the engine cover wasn't on properly. Ah I see why, "Someone" had managed to miss align it and break one of the clips. The car had never been anywhere else. I repaired it myself rather than face the denials.

The OP already has a thread on this in the Motoring sub-forum.
