I know we get to hear about the "bad" on here, because things have gone awry...but the whole issue is made worse because of the ££££££'s involved these days.

The current generation of over, say, 75's have assets that previous generations would have never imagined possible.

They are leaving more and more to be fought over!!
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Which is where the Probate Office comes through as the Will they have is the one that gets proved.
Doesn't matter if Great Uncle George is herded into signing all his worldly wealth away to young scoundrel Wilf, if a previous & held by Probate Will gives it all to Alice. Wilf left gnawing at the furniture &/or making 'plans' for Alice.

What we're talking about here though is the 'dodgy' will being the ONLY will submitted into Probate. If it passes probate checks (how deep do they delve into a legally witnessed will) then the fix is in!!!
