'Audio' CD-Rs and 'normal' CD-Rs - difference?

What's the difference between conventional CD-Rs and 'Audio' CD-Rs - those that state, somewhere on the disc, "Audio" or "Music" alongside the manufacturer's name, etc.?
It's a bit of a dim-witted question, I know.
Thanks.

Recordable Audio CDs are a different format to CD Rs and normally are to be used only in consumer CD Recorders rather than CD Computer Drives. They are not interchangeable and it really depends on what you are using it for. But there may be some confusion if manufacturers start putting on "ideal for audio/music" etc. Key thing is to look at the actual CD logo and see what it says, either Compact Disc Recordable or Compact Disc Digital Audio Recordable. The first is the standard CD-R, the second is CD Audio R to be used in recorders rather than pc writers."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks, everyone.
I've just found virtually the same info. from the following:

It seems you can use any CD-R ('Audio' or conventional) with any P.C./laptop CD burner but a Hi-fi CD recorder requires 'Audio' CD-Rs only.0
